Pokemon GO September 2025: Pokemon GO has shared what players can expect in September 2025, and there is a lot happening. The biggest news is the arrival of Mega Sharpedo, which will make its first appearance in the game on September 7.
Trainers can find it during a special Raid Day that runs for three hours, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. Mega Sharpedo will have a shiny chance from the start. Players will know only after the raid ends, and shiny odds will be higher during the Raid Day event.

Pokemon GO September 2025: Mega raid schedule for September
The month will be full of Mega Raids, starting on September 2 with some of the original Kanto starters. Trainers can fight Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard X and Y, and Mega Blastoise until September 9. After that, the battles will switch to Mega Pidgeot and Mega Gyarados.
Then on September 16, new bosses arrive: Mega Gardevoir, Mega Latias and Latios, and Mega Gallade. From September 23 to 30, Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Lopunny will be in raids. When the month ends, the lineup will change again with Mega Steelix, Mega Scizor, and Mega Lucario taking the stage. All of these Mega Pokémon will have shiny chances active.

September will also begin with a big celebration. On September 2, Season 20 of the game will start with a Kanto Celebration event. This event will bring wild encounters of regional Pokémon, legacy move evolutions, and even Dynamax versions of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres for players who buy Special Research.

There will also be collection challenges that reward Mega Energy. The Kanto Celebration will run until September 7, ending on the same day as Mega Sharpedo’s debut.
Spotlight Hours for September are also set. Each Tuesday between 6 pm and 7 pm, a different Pokémon will take the spotlight. The lineup includes Pidgey, Trubbish, Gothita, Hoothoot, and Aron in that order. Trainers will also get bonuses during these spotlight events.
