During a press conference on Wednesday in Lucknow, Bahujan Samaj Party Supremo, Mayawati attacked senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and stated that “Digvijaya Singh, who is also a BJP agent giving statements that Mayawatiji has a lot of pressure from the centre, so she does not want this alliance. This is baseless”, Mayawati told media.
Mayawati further said that “Congress Chief, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are willing to form BSP-Congress alliance, while leaders like Digvijaya Singh are against it.”
Earlier, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh stated that “Mayawati did not join hands with Congress in Madhya Pradesh, as she was pressurized by the central government.”
Singh further claimed that “Mayawati fears to go against BJP, as ED, CBI would then speed work against her”.
