Lawyer-politician Prashant Bhushan has been in news because of his recent tweets against the anti-Romeo squad which has invited criticism from the Sangh community. After a police complaint was lodged against him on Monday, Bhushan has apologised for his tweet.

Bhusan was booked for hurting Hindu sentiments, even his effigies were burnt in Mathura and Vrindaban on Tuesday.

On early Sunday, Bhushan had stoked a controversy as he tweeted that, “Romeo loved just one lady, while Krishna was a legendary Eve teaser. Would (UP CM Yogi) Adityanath have the guts to call his vigilantes Anti-Krishna squads?”

Defending himself on Tuesday, Bhusan had deleted his earlier tweet and issued an apology on Twitter which read, “I realise that my tweet on Romeo squads and Krishna was inappropriately phrased… I unintentionally hurt the sentiments of many people. I apologise and delete it”
