The clip which spread pretty fast across social media on Wednesday, has sparked outrage among common citizens, political figures and also members of the crash victims’ families.

As per several media reports, the video appears to feature family members of the accused in the Pune Porsche crash case celebrating after they secured bail. In the footage, the gathering reportedly had live singers, dancing and attendees wearing garlands formed from currency notes.

What Is the Pune Porsche Crash Case?
The Pune Porsche crash case became one of India’s most talked-about road accident cases after a speeding luxury car allegedly driven by a 17-year-old boy crashed into a motorcycle in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area on May 19, 2024. Two IT professionals lost their lives in the accident.
The caseset off nationwide outrage after the Juvenile Justice Board, at first, allowed bail for the minor accused but only with conditions like writing a roughly 300 word essay on road safety. That choice then got heavy pushback everywhere and re opened the whole conversation on juvenile justice statutes, and, yeah, about how wealth and personal accountability tend to matter in headline level matters.
Later on, investigators claimed that people tried to mess with blood samples, specifically to conceal evidence tied to alcohol consumption. And then several people, including doctors and go between types were picked up in connection with the blood sample swapping conspiracy that was alleged.
Supreme Court Bail Order
Earlier this year, the Supreme Court granted bail to multiple accused connected to the alleged evidence tampering case, including the juvenile’s father, identified in reports as Vishal Agarwal. The court noted that some accused had already spent many months in custody while the trial was still pending.
The court, however, imposed conditions and directed that witnesses should not be influenced directly or indirectly. It also asked the trial court to expedite proceedings in the matter.
