Punjab: 22 year old man stabbed to death in Ambala, family members set ablaze accused’s house

A 22-year-old man identified as Vikas alias Bunty of Mahesh Nagar area in Ambala district has been stabbed to death by some accused during late hours on Monday.

Some sources provide information that Vikas’s aggrieved family members set a house reportedly belonging to one of the accused on fire and one person received an injury in a violent clash between two parties.

As per Vikas’s family members complaint that was lodged, Police while acting on the case implemented following sections of guilt on accused, under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Mahesh Nagar police station (PS) on Tuesday.

According to Times of India, Inspector Satish Kumar, SHO, Mahesh Nagar PS said, “Vikas of Mahesh Nagar has been stabbed by some persons and we are making efforts to identify them and some suspects are absconding.

Some family members of Vikas also set ablaze a house of one of the accused and one person received an injury in a clash between both the parties last night. We have registered a case and started an investigation into this murder. So far, the reason behind this murder is yet to be ascertained,” He reiterates.

SHO Satish adds, “The post-mortem of deceased Vikas is being conducted and his body will be handed over to the family members for last rites on Tuesday.”
