The Government of Punjab has decided to hold the exam for recruitment of ETT or Elementary Teacher Training, for the post of teachers in the state on November 29, 2020. The posts were notified in March 2020.
The exam is being held for 2364 posts.
The spokesperson of the School Education Department stated, “the advertisement for the recruitment of 2,364 ETT teachers was published by the department on March 6, 2020.”
The written exam for these posts will be conducted on November 29. The timings would be from 10 AM to 11.40 AM. This recruitment would address the shortage of teachers in schools, according to the press statement from the state government.
Punjab Teachers Recruitment 2020: Details
Elementary Teacher Training is a diploma level 2-year full-time undergraduate course, sectioned into four more semesters. Bharathiar University, Jalandhar’s Lovely Professional University, APS college of education, Noida’s Amity University, Gobindgarh’s RIMT University are some top institutes providing Elementary Teacher Training.
The candidates to register for the posts must between 18 to 37 years of age. No candidate beyond this age group can apply for the posts. The candidates have to be a graduate to apply for the posts and must have 55% at least in each subject.
The total fee for general candidates is INR 1000 and the fee for SC/ST candidates is INR 500.
