Madhavan had shared a photo of himself with his father and son, sitting in traditional attire as they prepared for puja in his home.
His post reads “Wish you all a very happy INDEPENDENCE DAY, RAKSHA BANDHAN AND AVANI AVITTAM. Prayers for peace and prosperity for ALL in this world continues,” he wrote along with it.
But the actor was trolled on Twitter for having a cross in the background of a picture of the actor and his family. A troller spotted the cross in the temple and started trolling him for keeping it.
R Madhavan shared a long note responding to a troll on Twitter, who had objected to a cross in the background of a picture of the actor and his family.
Madhavan responded with a note, in which he wrote, “I really don’t care about respect from the likes of you. I hope you get well soon. Surprised that in u r sickness you did not see the Golden Temple pic there too and asked if I converted to Sikhism.”

Why do they have a across in the background?! Is that a Mandir? You just lost my respect. Do you find Hindu Gods in Christian churches? All this is fake drama you did today! pic.twitter.com/w5mdrSKxRL
