How the Film was Made
Work on the film started in February 2025 at Mumbai’s Film City. For the early scenes, the team built a special set of Shivneri Fort so they could show the younger days of Shivaji Maharaj in a proper way. In early April 2025, the team moved to the second phase of shooting. That part of the schedule covered important moments from Shivaji Maharaj’s life, including his meeting with Rani Saibai, his coronation at Raigad Fort, and also some major battle scenes.
The makers tried hard to keep the film close to history. They studied and scanned real forts before building large sets that stayed up for more than six months. Later, in October 2025, filming returned to Goregaon’s Film City. The team also shot outdoor scenes in the rough Sahyadri mountain ranges, which gave the film a bigger and more real look.

A Sad Moment During Shooting
The film’s journey also had a very painful part. During the April 2025 shooting schedule in Satara district, tragedy struck after a song sequence was completed. Saurabh Sharma, a 26-year-old dancer from the choreography team, drowned in the Krishna River. His body was found two days later near the shooting area at Sangam Mahuli. The accident was widely reported at the time and cast a sad shadow over the production.
