This might sound bizarre but now a common enough gesture of twirling your moustaches in front of your seniors could land a government employee into trouble especially if he does so in front of senior officials or during official meetings.
In a recent incident, on July 7 a social security officer of the social justice and empowerment department in Shrinagar, Ajmer was given a show cause notice for showing disregard to his senior by twirling his moustache during a video conference.
The deputy director of the department has given a show cause notice to SSO Vishal Singh Solanki. The notice says that the seniors got distracted and irked by the twirling and raised an objection on the same during the conference.
Vishal was also given a notice for refusing to accept the payroll inspection report from the assistants and for failing to attend departmental meetings.
Also, he has been asked to give an explanation for the same within three days for negligence and ignoring the orders of the seniors. As per the notice if he fails to reply then disciplinary actions would be taken against him.
