Rajasthan Polls 2018: 4 Hindu saints keen to contest election

4 Hindu saints including, Yogi Balaknath, Yogi Santoshnath, Adityanath Yogi and Mahant Nirmal Das are keen to fight elections, sources claimed.

Rajasthan polls 2018, which are scheduled for December 2018 is witnessing various turns and twists every day and latest development came from religious outfits. As per the sources, around 4 Hindu saints have desired to contest in the upcoming election. One of them is a close aide of chief minister Vasundhara Raje and would contest on BJP’s ticket.

4 Hindu saints including, Yogi Balaknath, Yogi Santoshnath, Adityanath Yogi and Mahant Nirmal Das are keen to fight elections, sources claimed. Yogi Balaknath is expected to contest the election under the banner of BJP, as the saint is favourite of Vasundhara Raje and has cordial relations with various BJP leaders. Yogi Santoshnath is a religious guru and holds a massive support in Nathdwara region of Rajasthan.  Adityanath Yogi is a major Hindutva face in Alwar district and he is a close aide of RSS, pertaining to that, speculations are that, he could be a BJP candidate and while speaking on the lines of contesting elections, Adityanath also accepted the fact.

“I am ready to contest the election if BJP wants,” said Adityanath Yogi.

Mahant Nirmal could contest on Congress ticket from Siwana in Barmer, he is an active saint in the Barmer area of Rajasthan and also contested the 2013 assembly election on Congress ticket, where he lost by a small margin.
