Raksha Bandhan Railways Special Trains: Raksha Bandhan is coming soon and the Railways has added special trains to manage the extra rush of passengers. North Central Railway will run special trains between Subedarganj in Prayagraj and Shakurbasti in Delhi from August 25 to August 31, 2026. The trains will stop at several important stations in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, giving passengers more options to travel during the festival.

- Train No. 02275 (Subedarganj–Shakurbasti): Will run on August 25, 28 and 30.
- Train No. 02276 (Shakurbasti–Subedarganj): Will run on August 26, 29 and 31.
- Train No. 04147: Will leave Subedarganj for Shakurbasti on August 26.
- Train No. 04148: Will return from Shakurbasti to Subedarganj on August 27.
- Train No. 04164: Another special service towards Subedarganj will run on August 28.
Subedarganj to Shakurbasti Route and Timings
The main train will begin its journey from Subedarganj in the evening. It will travel through Fatehpur, Kanpur, Etawah, Tundla and Aligarh before entering the Delhi region. The train is scheduled to pass through Kanpur Central around 10:50 PM. It will then continue towards Delhi and reach Shakurbasti the next morning. Current timetable details show the service arriving at Shakurbasti at around 10:15 AM.
The route is useful for passengers travelling between Prayagraj, central Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Stops at major stations also make the service helpful for people travelling home for Raksha Bandhan.
Return Journey
The return train will start from Shakurbasti and travel through Delhi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur and Fatehpur before reaching Subedarganj. The regular return service is scheduled to leave Shakurbasti in the afternoon and continue through the same route in the opposite direction.

Railway officials have added these services because festive travel can put heavy pressure on regular trains. Extra coaches have also been planned on the different special services. The main special train will have AC 3-tier, sleeper, general and parcel coaches, while other services will have different combinations of AC, sleeper, general and parcel coaches.
