Ramadan 2019 is set to commence on the evening of May 5, Sunday and will end on the evening of June 4, Tuesday. Ramadan also is known as Ramazan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Muslims observe this religious festival worldwide.

Ramazan is month-long fasting observed by the Muslims to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad as per Islamic belief.

So in the month of Ramadan, fasting is obligatory for the adult Muslims except for people suffering from illness, while traveling, for older people, pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, people with chronic disease or menstruating.

For the people fasting, Suhoor and Iftaar are the only time they eat in a day as there two main meals. Suhoor is also known as Sehri and is eaten before dawn and iftaar are done after sunset. Sehri should be healthy and hearty to provide the energy throughout fasting in a day.
