The trailer of Vishal Bhardwaj’s much-awaited film ‘Rangoon’ is out on late Thursday evening. The film is set in the backdrop of World War II. Featuring Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor in the pivotal roles, ‘Rangoon’ is a triangle love story filled with passion, sex and deceit.
Lead actress Kangana plays the role of Julia, a film actress from the 1940s in the film. She was sent to Burma to entertain Indian troop wherein she meet Shahid Kapoor’s character Nawab Malik.
On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan plays the role of an overprotective filmmaker who doesn’t want to let go his muse, Julia, especially to a soldier.
The 3-minute 20-second trailer traces scenes from the theaters in the Bombay of the 1940s to the muddy trenches on the battlefields of Burma.
The film is a period drama that tells the story of intense passion. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film will release on 24 February.
