In a shocking incident, Andhra Pradesh retired district judge and his wife committed suicide by coming under a train. The bodies were found on the railway tracks near Chadalavada Engineering College in Renigunta, 10 km from Tirupati, police said.
The deceased were a resident of Tirupati and has been identified as the former judicial official P Sudhakar and his wife Varalakshmi, said the Deputy Superintendent of Police, railways, Ramesh Babu.
The reason behind the 62-year-old Pamuluru Sudhakar’s extreme step is predicted to be his ill health, whereas, his 56-year-old wife Varalakshmi after discovering husband’s death came to the spot and jumped under another train at the same place where her husband killed himself.
Sudhakar left a suicide note before taking this extreme step, where he writes that he is ending his life because of unbearable pain and trauma he is going through due to the kidney ailment which he was suffering from for a long time.

Sudhakar was survived with a son Sandeep and a daughter Sabitha. Both are working as software engineer in Bengaluru. Hearing about the hapless incident, his children rushed to their native place. Mother Varalakshmi had accompanied them to the spot where Sudhakar ended his life. After reaching there, she too jumped under another train exactly the same way and ended her life, said the DSP Ramesh Babu.
