Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) along with the Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab have not won the Indian Premier League (IPL) even once, rather RCB had earlier featured in three IPL finals back in 2009, 2013 and 2016. Last year in IPL, they failed to qualify for the playoffs and finished sixth on the points table with six wins from their 14 games.

RCB will start their IPL 2019 campaign against defending champions Chennai Super Kings on March 23. RCB had traded away Quinton de Kock while they have traded in Marcus Stoinis from KXIP.

RCB spent a whopping amount of Rs 5 crore on Shivam Dube and Rs 4.2 crore on Shimron Hetmyer. RCB also bought Akshdeep Nath and Prayas Burman for Rs 3.6 crore and Rs 1.5 crore respectively. South African keeper-batsmen Heinrich Klaasen was also bought by RCB at his base price of Rs 50 lakh along with Karnataka opener Devdutt Padikkal (20L), Delhi batsman Himmat Singh (65L).

Allrounders:

Colin de Grandhomme and Marcus Stoinis are both medium-pacers and attacking batsmen. They will add muscles to the team, and the management knows what to expect from them. The most exciting name in the list is of Shivam Dube as the big-hitting all-rounder from Mumbai was bought for five crores.

Apart from them RCB also have spinner-batsmen Washington Sundar and Moen Ali in their roster. Pawan Negi, Milind Kumar and Gurkeerat Singh are also capable to deliver with both ball and bat.

Batsmen:

It is been expected that Devdutt Padikkal will join the likes of keeper-batsman Parthiv Patel as the opening pair. They will be followed by skipper Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Heinrich Klaasen in the middle overs.

Bowling:

Umesh Yadav, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Tim Southee, Mohammed Siraj will lead the pace bowling attack for RCB while Yuzvendra Chahal, Moen Ali, Washington Sundar will be taking care of the spin bowling department for RCB.

Marcus Stoinis, Colin de Grandhomme and Shivam Dube will also play an important role in the pace bowling attack of the RCB team.
