Even though Bihar ranks third in terms of population in the country, Bihar ranks second after Uttar Pradesh in applying for government jobs. Recently, one crore 11 lakh applications were received from across the country for the RRB Grade D exam.

In this, the number of applicants from Bihar was 19 lakh 50 thousand. At the same time, the number of applications from Uttar Pradesh was beyond 20 lakhs. One lakh three thousand posts are to be recruited in Group D. 15 lakh 65 thousand candidates from Bihar applied in RRB NTPC exam. A little more than this application was received from Uttar Pradesh. About 34 thousand appointments are to be done through NTPC.

If seen, 39,33,119 candidates from across the country had applied for the Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) 2021 Recruitment in the biggest recruitment of SSC. Of these, 13,79,957 (35.08 percent) were from Bihar and UP only. Similarly, Constable (General Duty) appointments met from across the country in 2021. Of the total 71,74,579 applicants, 23,29,591 (32.47 per cent) or one-third of the applicants were from Bihar-UP. Not only this, the recruitment for Head Constable (Ministerial)-2022 in Delhi Police started on Monday. In the online examination also, out of the total applicants 23,58,535, 6,47,882 (27.46 percent) are from these two states of the Hindi belt. At the same time, the number of Bihari students is also high in the banking competition conducted by IBPS.

Bihar’s unemployment rate is 11.4 percent

The unemployment rate in the country stood at 6.43 percent in September 2022. At the same time, the unemployment rate of Bihar is 11.4 percent. The lowest unemployment is in Chhattisgarh at 0.1 percent. The highest unemployment rate is in Rajasthan at 23.8 percent. This position is according to the data released by CMIE.
