Sabarimala: Travancore Dewaswom Board denies special arrangements for women devotee

Supreme Court verdict on the infamous Sabarimala is awaiting the internal TD Board discussion over the implementation of its direction on women's entry inside the temple premise.

Thiruvananthapuram: Travancore Dewaswom Board (TDB) denies special arrangements for women devotee while entering the Sabarimala temple. TDB president A Padmakumar says, “Earlier also women visited Sabarimala with the present amenities. Further action on the subject will be taken as per the direction of the Supreme Court.”

TDB has made amendments in their previous stand on the entry of women worshiper inside the temple premise. TDB president says that arrangements made by former president Prayar Gopalakrishnan will continue this year as well.

Travancore Dewaswom Board will be submitting the present conditions of Sabarimala to the court. There has been no discussion on deploying women police force inside the temple premise in order to assist female entry.
