Sandesh Assembly Election 2025: Full Candidate List, Poll Date, Past Results and Winning Margins

Sandesh Assembly Election 2025:Sandesh is a general (unreserved) assembly constituency in Bhojpur district of Bihar and one of the seven assembly segments that make up the Arrah Lok Sabha seat. Geographically it covers Sandesh and Udwantnagar community development (CD) blocks plus ten gram-panchayats of Koilwar CD block (including Koilwar nagar panchayat). It is constituency number 192 of the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

That mix two full blocks plus parts of a third makes Sandesh a mostly rural constituency whose local issues tend to be agrarian, road/bridge connectivity, irrigation and basic services.

Sandesh Assembly Election 2025: Geography, Voters, and Local Issues

The Sandesh electorate is numerically large and socially mixed: census and election-data trackers and constituency analyses describe the seat as rural-dominated with important Yadav presence, significant Scheduled Caste communities (Paswan, Chamar), a sizeable Kushwaha/Koeri (OBC) vote share, other EBC groups and a smaller Muslim electorate. Those caste and community balances common in many Bhojpur seats shape candidate selection and alliances, and often make Sandesh a swing seat where local personalities matter as much as party symbols.

Recent Political History

The most recent completed election (2020) gives the clearest baseline for 2025. In 2020 Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Kiran Devi won Sandesh with 79,599 votes; her nearest rival was the Janata Dal (United) candidate (Vijayendra/Vizendra Yadav) who polled about 28,992 votes, a winning margin of roughly 50,607 votes and a vote share above 50% for the winner. Turnout and elector numbers show Sandesh had nearly 290–295 thousand electors on the roll in 2020, and valid votes counted were in the 154–155 thousand range all figures that parties will use to plan booth-level work in 2025.

Sandesh Assembly Election 2025 Candidates

As of now, the official list of candidates contesting the 2025 Bihar Assembly Election for the Sandesh constituency has not been released. The Election Commission of India is expected to come up with the final list of candidates not very far from the election date which is October or November 2025, tentatively.

Considering the political situation in Bihar, it is predicted that the RJD, Janata Dal (United), and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be the major parties that will decide to have candidates in the Sandesh constituency. Although, the current candidates and their parties will be known only after the Election Commission’s official announcement.
