IBPS PO Prelims Result 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will share the results for the Probationary Officers preliminary exams very soon. The exams already took place on August 17, 23 and 24. As per the notification, the results will come out sometime in September 2025. When the result is out, candidates can go to the official site, ibps.in, and check it by using their registration or roll number with either the password or date of birth.

Last year things were a little different. The prelims then went on until October 20 and the results only got announced on November 21. This year the schedule has been moved closer.
How to Download IBPS PO 2025 Prelims Result?
- Step 1:Visit the official IBPS website at ibps.in.
- Step 2:Click on the “IBPS PO/MT Prelims Result 2025″ link on the homepage.
- Step 3:Enter your registration number/roll number and password or date of birth.
- Step 4:Submit the details to view your result.
- Step 5:Download and save the scorecard for future reference. Candidates can also take a printout of their result.
What Happens After Prelims?
Candidates must get at least the minimum cut-off marks in every section to clear this stage. If they make it past this score, then they will move ahead to the Online Main Examination. This main exam is the next big step in the hiring process. After that, successful students will later go for the personality test and the interview round.
Negative marking
The exam also has a rule about wrong answers. Every time a candidate writes an incorrect answer, they lose 1/4th of the marks given for that question. For example, if a question is worth one mark, then 0.25 marks are taken away if the answer is wrong. If someone leaves a question blank, no marks are cut for that.

In the main exam too, candidates will need to score at least the required marks in each section and also reach a certain total score. Only then will they be allowed to go for the final round of interview and personality test.
