Baba Ramdev is back with a bang! The yoga-guru-turned-businessman is now venturing into the apparel industry, apparently to “end the dominance of multinational corporations that have for decades been capitalising on the country’s market.”
“When we want Indians winning medals in sports, why can’t we develop the same spirit in economic pursuits and excel in businesses on our own? My fight is against foreign companies trying to take over our economy ,” Baba Ramdev said.There’s a great demand from the country’s youths for jeans, the reason why Patanjali has decided to launch “Indianised” jeans to compete with foreign brands, he said.
Perhaps the most sansakaari piece of garment that will ever be made, this #SanskaariJeans will perhaps ensure, “all Indian values and maryada remain conserved with this completely swadeshi initiative.”In fact not only this, he is also planning to take the world by a storm by introducing them to African nations, Pakistan and Afghanistan (if granted permission) and he has already set up factories in Nepal and Bangladesh (so much for ‘swadeshi’). He has invested ₹ 1,000 crore in the infrastructure and machinery at Mihan plant in Nagpur.
