Second edition of Vicks says, like Nisha 'every child deserves #TouchOfCare’

With its second edition, Vicks has launched a heartwarming ad narrating the inspiring story of Nisha, under its year-old campaign ‘Touch of care’.

Aiming to break the taboo around skin diseases and promote the idea of ‘family beyond biological bond’, Vicks under its campaign titled #TouchOfCare, created by Publicis Singapore, features the protagonist Nisha, a young girl with a rare genetic skin condition- Ichthyosis.

In the video, Nisha tells about how her life was transformed when she was adopted by Aloma and David Lobo who, despite having children of their own, gave her a family. Nisha further narrates her everyday struggle with people who think that her disease is infectious and therefore aren’t friendly with her.

The ad film informs that there are about 29.6 million orphans in India. Only 42 children with disabilities were adopted last year.

The Vicks Brand has stood for Family Care in India for over 50 years. Last year, Vicks’ #TouchOfCare campaign did not just win hearts but a lot of accolades from the industry itself. With the emotional, real life story of an orphan girl, Gayatri, and her transgender mother Gauri, the brand struck a chord with its audience.
