Street food corners nowadays are not bound to enabling taste, instead they are now concentrating on introducing new techniques of creating a dish, probably for which they are specialised for.

Recently, a video went viral that shows an eatery in Mumbai that serves the iconic ‘Masala Dosa’ with a lot of swag. Shree Balaji Dosa in the city’s Kalbadevi area came to be known for what they call a ‘Flying Dosa.’

Involving two people, one makes the dish whereas the other stands next to him with a plate to catch. With utmost ease, the cook makes the dosa, fills with the potato filling, cuts it into 2-3 pieces, and flips it in the air for his assistant to catch it effortlessly.

Here is the clip. It was posted on Facebook by a page called ‘Street Food Recipes.’

“Serving Dosa like a BOSS,” the caption too is serving justice.

The video became a hit overnight not just on Facebook, but on other social media platforms as well. Till now, it has gathered over 80 million views and 1.5 million likes.

Clearly, the owners’ showmanship was lauded by some. They called it a way to attract customers to their eatery, which makes sense altogether, and yet again thanks to the social media and the food vloggers as well, this kind of content can go viral in minutes, thanks to them.

However, not all were amused by the techniques. Under the Facebook post, many netizens stated that this stunt was extremely wasteful and not necessary.

“I think that’s not necessary to throw this dosa in air,” one user pointed out.

But if we see, then the video clearly has divided the netizens as some are praising and some are not. How about you? Are you appreciating this move or you are too just same, considering it’s a wastage of time.
