Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is reportedly likely to be engaged with Pakistan cricket legend Shahid Afridi’s daughter Aqsa Afridi. The rumors of the same are being reported by many in Pakistani media and are also ‘confirmed’ by some.
According to Geo TV Shaheen’s father, Ayaz Khan confirmed to the media that both families, who have long-standing relations, have agreed to the proposal.
Shahid Afridi part of the family is yet to make any formal announcement about these reports. The families have said that the engagement could be formalised shortly before the wedding in two years’ time since Aqsa is currently studying.
“Proposal accepted”
The Pakistani journalist, Ihtisham ul Haq further confirmed the claim. He said he has permission from both the families and clarified engagement rumors on his Twitter account.
“With permission from both families, I would like to clarify the engagement rumors between Shaheen Afridi and the daughter of Shahid Afridi. The proposal has been accepted; it is thought that a formal engagement will be done within 2 yrs, following the completion of her education,” he wrote on Twitter.
“The reason behind this tweet is to clarify the suspicion caused by social media. Respect to both families; please do await their own official announcements as they are currently in talks. I would like to request all individuals to respect their privacy during this auspicious time,” Ihtisham added.

Shahid Afridi has been blessed with five daughters, namely Aqsa, Ansha, Ajwa, Asmara, and Arwa. Aqsa, 20, is the eldest among the five.
Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi who is also 20-year-old is the youngest of seven brothers.
Shaheen made his international debut for Pakistan in April 2018 and his Test match debut for the national team in December 2018.
