Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi wished India on 71st Independence Day. His wishes came in the form of a tweet and he added the hashtag, #HopeNotOut in his tweet.

Following suit, many Afridi fans from Pakistan wished India a happy Independence Day too. They also sent their love and best wishes to India.
Twitter had diverse reactions on the cricketer’s tweet. Even Congress MP, Shashi Tharoor responded to his tweet and termed his wishes as ‘admirable sentiments’.
