Delhi Patiala High Court receives a criminal defamation complaint against former Congress minister and MP Shashi Tharoor for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a scorpion on Shivling. Shashi Tharoor made a statement in Bengaluru during an event where he had compared PM Modi to a scorpion sitting on Shivling.

Shashi Tharoor was delivering a speech at the Bangalore Literature Festival on Sunday, October 28, where he quoted an unnamed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is like a scorpion sitting on a Shivling and that you cannot remove him with your hand, you cannot hit it with a chappal.
