Ayushmann Khurrana is back with yet another bang in 2020 and has started this year with breaking the stereotype of homophobia with his latest release. The film has crossed the expectation of the trade pundits and came up with the opening of Rs 9.25 to 9.50 Crore.
The Delhi region for Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan collected Rs 2.50 Crore while in East Punjab, the numbers were estimated around Rs 1 Crore. The film’s collections are expected to rise since Ayushmann’s homosexual love story is getting pretty good reviews from the audience.
Aushmann Khurrana’s competition is with himself only as he is going to beat the record of Dream Girl’s collections as the exact box office collection is turning out to be more than the estimates. At present, Dream Girl has the highest opening for Ayushmann. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan also got the advantage of releasing on a holiday of Maha Shivratri. Hence, the film performed better ticket windows.
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is directed by Hitesh Kevalaya and is a film which breaks the norms and stereotypes of the society about homophobia as the film brings up all the humour and drama in it. The film is a gay love story between Ayushmann aka Kartik and Jitendra Kumar aka Aman. It also stars Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao and hence, the cast of the film also has been able to create a buzz among fans.
