Sidak Singh added himself to a rare list of players who have taken ten wickets in an innings. While playing for Puducherry, in a Colonel C.K. Nayudu U-23 fixture, the left-arm spinner grabbed a perfect ten.

Sidak Singh’s figures read, 17.5-7-31-10.

19-year-old Varanasi born boy spun the web around Manipur batsman and on his own bowled them out at a paltry total of 71.

Sidak, who had earlier represented teams from Mumbai, was brought in as an outstation player by Puducherry. Sidak has played 7 T20 matches for Mumbai. He also became the second youngest player(after Sachin Tendulkar) for Mumbai. Singh’s bowling action has earlier been put to a dodgy actions list of bowlers by the BCCI.

In 1999, Feroz Shah Kotla was lit up by Kumble’s famous ten-for performance against arch-rivals, Pakistan. Kumble became only the second bowler to achieve such feat after Jim Lakers did it in 1956. Following an illustrious career that spanned over 18 years, Kumble retired in 2008 after attaining a finger injury.
