Simmba movie trailer launched. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty Picturez. The movie will be released on 28th December 2018.
Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh who is set to make a debut in “Kedarnath” this Friday, is also featuring in “Simmba”. This is also Ranveer Singh’s first movie with action director Rohit Shetty.

Ranveer Singh is working with Rohit Shetty for the first time in his career. The film is jointly produced by Karan Johar’s ‘Dharma productions’ and ‘Rohit Shetty Picturez’. Ranveer plays the role of the cop ACP Sangram Bhalerao, who changes his ways after falling in love with a girl. The actor’s fans are extremely excited to see him in a whole new avatar of a rowdy cop. Sonu Sood and Ashutosh Rana also play important roles in Simmba. Rohit’s Golmaal boys including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu and Shreyas Talpade are making special appearances in the film.
Rohit Shetty is known for action and comedy films. His last directorial, Golmaal Again, was a huge success last year and earned over Rs 200 crore at the Indian box office.
“As an actor, I wanted to give one hit film. So, I am in a song in Simmba. I am happy I will be a part of a superhit film,” says Karan Johar.
On working with Rohit Shetty in Simmba, Ranveer Singh had said, “My experience has been thousands of times more than what I had expected. I’ve never had such a blast making a movie in all the years that I’ve been working. The things that I learnt are the things that I’ll carry forward for the rest of my life, and it’s been cultivated and nurtured by sir (Rohit Shetty). When the hard work of all of us comes together, a film like Simmba is made, which according to me will be a blockbuster.”
