While the entire nation was mourning the death of two of Bollywood’s best actors, – Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor – the news came in that singer-composer-songwriter Arjun Kanungo‘s father breathed his last on Wednesday.

He was reportedly fighting against stage 4 liver cancer.

The singer shared the news with a heartbreaking post. “Until we meet again Dad. Rest in peace,” he wrote on Instagram while sharing a childhood photo of him with his father.

Arjun Kanungo’s industry colleagues and fans are heartbroken with the news and paying their condolences.

“So sorry to hear it Arjun.. May he rest in peace . My condolences to you and your family.’ Rapper Badshah wrote, ‘My prayers brother im sure he must have been a proud father,” wrote director Anurag Kashyap.

“My prayers brother im sure he must have been a proud father,” commented singer Badshah.

The ‘Baaki baatein peene baad’ singer had revealed the news about his father battling stage 4 cancer in June last year.

” My dad begins his second round of chemo today. He has stage 4 liver cancer which is so f@$&$g scary but he has been fighting it like a champ and after the first round things are looking up. Cautiously optimistic, i am… I would not wish this on anyone. But he’s been fighting it with so much dignity and I’m really proud of him. ?? I hope that if life throws me a curve ball like it’s thrown you, I deal with it half as well as you’ve dealt with this.,” he had written in a post on Instagram.
