Musician Vishal Dadlani became a trending topic on Twitter after he messed up a single fact about the song ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’, which led to him being trolled all over social media for a small goof-up.
How the situation started?
So basically how the situation unfurled is, that during an episode of the famous singing reality show Indian Idol, Vishal Dadlani, the singer was heard telling a contestant that the iconic song- Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon was sung by Lata Mangeshkar for Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in the year 1947. However, the truth is the legendary singer crooned the song to Nehru in 1963.

Soon after the musician, singer’s Goofup he started getting trolled, to which the hashtag ‘#DadlaniFacts’ became one of the most tweeted and trending topic of the day.
As this goof-up turned out to be a way for Twitter users to make fun of the singer, but also turned out to be a spat contest as many were hurt on the fact that the singer was not clear with the facts, and yet he said it out loud.
Vishal Dadlani’s reply on #Dadlanifacts
Anyway, after the Dadlani hashtag called the Dadlani facts started trending on Twitter, he responded to it by saying “Yaar BJP ke phukatiya 2-rupee trolls, yeh #DadlaniFacts trend karwa lo! If you can! Love the hashtag! I’ll even retweet the really funny ones, come on!” This basically translates to that these 2 rupee trolls are a political drama, if you love this hashtag and have better comments to it, bring it on, I will retweet the best ones.
However, after this issue became public, and people criticised singer Vishal Dadlani, he took to his Twitter account and apologised saying – I see a few right-wingers “offended” by my messing up the date of “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” being sung to Pt. Nehru. I apologise for my error.”

Why did Vishal Dadlani apologise?
For the unaware, the iconic song ‘Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo’ is a patriotic song penned in the Hindi language by Kavi Pradeep, music has been composed by C. Ramchandra, and crooned by legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar to pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who died during the Sino-Indian War in 1962. The iconic song Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo was first performed by Lata Mangeshkar on Republic Day (26 January) in the year 1963 at the National Stadium in New Delhi.
Currently, on the work front, Vishal Dadlani is judging the show along with Neha Kakkar and Himesh Reshammiya of ‘Indian Idol 12’.
