Sisodia quizzed by Anti-Corruption Branch in DCW recruitment case

The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) questioned Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia in connection with its probe into an alleged recruitment scam in Delhi Commission for Women (DCW). The ACB has been probing the matter for the last few months and it has found that due procedure was not followed in appointments at DCW.

Sisodia Blamed the Centre for harassing Delhi government and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders. He said first it was the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and now it’s the ACB.

The ACB took up the probe after a complaint by former DCW chief Barkha Singh, who alleged that around 85 AAP loyalists were given top posts in the women’s panel.

Delhi Commission of Women chief Swati Maliwal had rubbished the allegations about Sisodia’s role in appointments made in the women’s panel. “Shocking. Manish Sisodia has no role at all in DCW appointments. Why is he being summoned by ACB?” she tweeted. Maliwal was also questioned by the ACB at her office on September 29.
