The outage tracking website Downdetector.com reported a sudden increase in reports of outages regarding the social media platforms X and X Pro on Thursday.
Users were unable to view tweets on Twitter Thursday morning due to a technical issue. Even though Twitter’s website and apps were up, users were unable to view any tweets in their tabs. All tabs, including Following, For You, and Lists, were blank. The outage continues and it is not currently known how long the outage will last.
Indian users are not the only ones experiencing this problem. Currently, the issue appears to only affect the visibility of tweets. This is because within minutes of the issue surfacing, #XDown was already trending on the Twitter website. As a result, users can post and create tweets, but no other users can currently view them.
