Ahead of Telangana elections, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi attacked caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao over various issues on Friday in Medchal. Sonia Gandhi stated that, “Rulers of Telangana took care of themselves but not the people. Elections are a time when we can get rid of these problems. Congress has announced welfare schemes for every section of society”.
Speaking on lines of farmers apathy, Sonia Gandhi opined that, “Farmers are committing suicides. There is lack of water. TRS govt did not adhere to Land Acquisition Bill. People could not avail benefits of MNREGA”.
“The development is nowhere in the state. The dreams you saw when Telangana was formed, how much has been fulfilled in last four years”, Sonia Gandhi said in the massive Medchal rally.
