After being hospitalised for food poisoning on Sunday, Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s condition is stable now. The Ganga Ram Hospital authorities said that she will have to remain in the hospital for a few more days though.
“The health condition of Sonia Gandhi is stable. She is progressing well and may be discharged in a day or two,” DS Rana, Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said.
The 70 year old Congress chief has not been keeping well for some time. She was admitted to the hospital after she had a shoulder injury in a road show in Varanasi last year, where she underwent surgery on her left shoulder. In March, she was accompanied by her son Rahul Gandhi for her treatment abroad as well, wherein she reportedly had another surgery.
