Sterling and Wilson net profit nearly trebles to Rs 142 cr in Mar qtr

New Delhi: Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy on Thursday said its consolidated net profit trebled to Rs 141.59 crore in the March quarter.

The company’s consolidated net profit stood at Rs 55.01 crore in the quarter ended March 31, a regulatory filing said.

Its total expenses declined to Rs 1,844.43 crore in the quarter from Rs 2,419.73 crore a year ago.

However, the total income in the quarter declined to Rs 1,998.54 crore in the March quarter from Rs 2,506.45 crore in the year-ago period.

In 2025-26, the company suffered a loss of Rs 295.79 crore against a net profit of Rs 85.55 crore in the preceding fiscal.

The company’s total income in the fiscal rose to Rs 7,751.72 crore from Rs 6,341.46 crore a year ago.

Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, said, “FY26 has been SWREL’s strongest period yet, delivering record quarterly PAT (net profit), 4.5 GW execution excellence, and a significant strengthening of the team to cater to the future growth opportunities”.

“As we look forward to FY27, our record Rs 11,813 crore order book and expanded 13.5 GW O&M platform provide unmatched revenue visibility and stability.”

The company’s diversification into wind and BESS projects is being well appreciated and expects these two verticals to contribute significantly to its future growth, he stated.
