Suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillor Tahir Hussain, who was absconding in the murder case of Intelligence Bureau (IB) staffer Ankit Sharma during violence in Northeast Delhi, is on his way to a Delhi court to surrender.

His lawyer Mukesh Kalia said Tahir Hussain will surrender if he reaches the court without getting arrested.

“He (Hussain) is on his way to Rouse Avenue Court(Delhi) to surrender. If he reaches Court without being arrested in between then he will surrender here before the court,” Kalia said.

Hussain has moved a surrender plea through his lawyer before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Vishal Pahuja.

Speaking to a news channel earlier, the suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Municipal Councillor said he has full faith in the judiciary system.
