A bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice SA Nazeer and Justice PS Narasimha said it needed more cogent reasons for transferring the ongoing criminal cases against Khan.

Khan, on Monday, had left without attending the proceedings of the house, after being sworn in as a member of the house in Speaker Satish Mahan’s chamber.

As the concerned bench, which was scheduled to hear the matter today, did not assemble, the matter was adjourned.
The action had been taken by the state government against the Trust for failing to adhere to certain conditions on which the Trust was granted the land in 2005 for construction of an educational institution.
Azam Khan has been lodged in Sitapur jail since February last year, after more than 86 cases of various thefts and land grabbing were lodged against him.
Tanzeen Fatima, who walked out of jail late on Monday night, said that she had been a professor in a government college and suddenly she was branded as a criminal.
The order was passed on Tuesday by a two-judge bench comprising Justice S. K. Gupta and Justice Piyush Agrawal on a petition filed by Tazeen Fatima against the order of demolition by the Uttar Pradesh government.
The Khan family had been ignoring summons by the courts in various cases lodged against them after which warrants had been issued against them.
