Tamil Nadu Police to summon Kamal Haasan and Director Shankar for inquiry about Indian 2 accident

Tamil Nadu Police will be summoning Kamal Hassan and Shankar, director of Indian 2, to inquire about the accident on the sets of Indian 2. The horrific accident took place on Wednesday (February 19) night, claimed the lives of three people and left 12 injured.

The Tamil Nadu Police has also booked Lyca Productions, headed by A Subaskaran, in the freak accident that happened on the sets of Indian 2.

They have been booked under sections 287 (Negligent conduct with respect to machinery), 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (Causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 304A (Causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code.

Thursday morning, the news screens flashed that Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2’s sets faced an accident. The accident that occurred on Wednesday night, killed three and left 12 injured.

Reportedly, a crane carrying heavily camera equipment fell on some technicians, leaving three people (Sri Krishna, Madhu and Chandran) dead and 12 people injured in the accident. Lead actors Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal had a narrow escape from the freak accident.

Kamal Haasan also donated Rs 1 crore each to the families of the deceased. “On my behalf, I am donating Rs 1 crore to the family of the deceased and this is what I can do now. This is not the compensation for what we have lost. Some of them are very poor people. Three years back, I was in an accident. I know how difficult it is to recover from an accident like this. Of the three, only one could probably afford.”
