Tamil Nadu TN SSLC Result 2020 to be announced shortly; Check updates here

TN SSLC Result 2020: The Tamil Nadu Board is all set to announce the TN SSLC Result 2020 shortly. Students who had taken the TN SSLC examinations should note that the TN SSLC Result 2020 will be made available on the official website.

As per the details provided by Tamil Nadu Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan, the TN 10th Result will be announced soon.

Keeping in mind the safety of students against coronavirus pandemic, schools affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Board will not be announcing the TN 10th Result on noticeboards.

The steps to check and download the TN SSLC Result 2020 will be shared with the students.

TN SSLC Result 2020: Date

This year, over 9 lakh students who appeared for the TN SSLC exam are eagerly waiting for their declaration of their result. Students must take note that the Tamil Nadu Board has yet not confirmed a final date for the release of TN SSLC result 2020.

TN Board Class 10 exams were slated to be held from March 27 to April 13. Due to the situation surrounding the pandemic and the resulting lockdown the TN SSLC 2020 exams could not be conducted.

Later, the DGE proposed to hold the TN Board 10th exams 2020 from 15th June 2020 onwards. The declaration of TN SSLC results 2020 have also been postponed owing to the pandemic.

For the assessment scheme of class 10th, the state board has developed a new strategy to promote students. However, the state will promote all the class 11 students and they will be awarded marks based on the internal assessment.

The marks for the pending exam will be divided into two parameters. As much as, 80 per cent of marks will be evaluated based on students’ performance in quarterly and half-yearly exams and 20 per cent will be on the basis of the attendance, according to the government norms.

In the year 2019, the state recorded a passing percentage of 95.42. Last year, female students outperformed boys.

The passing percentage of girls was recorded at 97 per cent, four percent high as compared to the boys. Among the districts, Tiruppur produced the best results 98.56 per cent students clearing the exam from that region. It was followed by Ramnathapuram (98.48), and Namakal (98.45).
