Tamil Nadu SSLC result 2020: The Tamil Nadu board will be going to announce the SSLC or class 10 results on August 10. Students can check their results by visiting the education board’s official website at dge.tn.gov.in, tnresults.nic.in.
The result link will be activated at 9:30 AM.
However, this year’s result, which will be declared, is uniquely and alternatively evaluated without holding all the exams.
The exams which were slated to be held from March 27 till April 13 were finally scrapped in view of the pandemic. The state then took a decision to promote all students without holding exam through alternative assessment criteria.
The assessment will be done based on year-long performance. Nearly, 9.7 lakh candidates will get their results on Monday i.e., August 10. Hence heavy load can be expected on the website due to the participation of large number of students.
To get pass in the exams, a candidate must obtain at least 35 marks in all the six subjects out of 100 marks.
This year, of the 100 marks, 80 per cent of marks will be evaluated on the basis of the students’ performance in quarterly and half-yearly examinations and 20 per cent will be based on attendance, as per the government rule.
The state had recorded an overall pass percentage of 95.2 last year. Apart from this, other boards that have promoted students based on internal assessment have seen a rise in pass percentage and similar is expected for the TN Board result.
