NEW DELHI: With the promotion of all SSC and second-year intermediate students who failed in the exams, the state has taken a decision to cancel examination for Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), Hyderabad students.
As per reports, Telangana Open School Society has cancelled the TOSS exams for Class 10th and 12th students because of the COVID-19 outbreak which has impacted all corners of the world including India.
As per the Times of India reports, the Director of TOSS, S Venkateswara Sharma, said that all the open students would be promoted to the next Class like the regular students. He also said that the official announcement on the same matter will be made in a day or two.
“The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has recently announced the cancellation of exams and promoting all students. Following the NIOS decision, we will also be making an announcement”, he added, as per the TOI report.
Initially, Telangana Board cancelled the SSC exam in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The Board promoted the Class 10 and 12 regular students based on the internal assessment. Ever since this announcement, TOSS students were consistently requesting the officials to cancel their exams too, as the situation is worsening.
They had also appealed to the officials through twitter.
