Tesla Cybertrucks: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recalled over 27,000 Cybertrucks on Thursday after Tesla said that a software update would fix a problem with rear-view camera images being delayed. This delay could make it harder for drivers to see, which could raise the risk of accidents.
Most Cybertrucks sold in the U.S. are affected by this recall, which is the biggest one ever for electric trucks. Earlier this year, Tesla also called back some cars in June for problems with the exterior trim and windshield wipers and in April for an accelerator pedal pad that was coming loose.

The manufacturer of electric vehicles began shipping the Cybertruck in November 2023, following a two-year delay brought on by production issues and limitations with battery availability. To date, Tesla has not released the Cybertruck’s production or delivery figures.
This recall follows another from the spring
Tesla has started a voluntary safety recall for Cybertruck models from 2024 to make sure that the accelerator pedal and pad have enough retention force to keep the pad from coming loose. As part of the recall, the accelerator pedal assembly needs to be changed or replaced.
