All 12 ‘Wild Boars’ soccer boys, along with their coach, have been rescued from the deep cave they were trapped in for more than two weeks.

The Thai navy Seals, who have been running the operation, confirmed that all 13 members of the Wild Boar football team, have been rescued in an update on its Facebook page.

Three navy seals and a doctor, who have been with the boys, are expected to emerge from the cave soon. The rescued boys are being airlifted to hospital.

The ‘Wild Boars’ soccer team and their coach got trapped on June 23 when they had set out to explore the vast cave complex after soccer practice, when a rainy season downpour drenched the area and flooded the tunnels.

British divers had found the 13, huddled on a muddy bank in a partly flooded chamber several kilometers inside the complex, on Monday last week.
