The much-awaited trailer of Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad just dropped and we are all praises for it. Anubhav Sinha being Anubha is back with what he does the best. It tells the story of a woman who decides to divorce her husband after he slaps her.
The trailer begins with Taapsee in a meeting with her lawyers who cannot fathom why she wants a separation from her husband over ‘just a slap’.
The trailer then takes us to happier times when all was well between the couple. She cares for his mother, prepares his lunch, plays the perfect wife until he loses temper at a party one day and slaps her in front of everyone.
The episode makes Taapsee realize how the slap isn’t an isolated incident but reflects how her husband never really thought of her as an equal.
Taapsee Pannu’s film makes us realize that why getting slapped is about Pyaar Mein Chalta Hai. It is indeed a resounding slap on Kabir Singh’s face and shows a reciprocal of the plot shown in Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh.

The cast also includes Ratna Pathak Shah, Manav Kaul, Dia Mirza, Tanvi Azmi, and Ram Kapoor. Thappad produced by Anubhav Sinha and Bhushan Kumar is scheduled to hit the screens on February 28.
