After getting into a spat for more than a year, it seems that Mama-Bhanja couple Govinda and Krishna Abhishek are yet to come together. A few days ago Krishna, one of the lead actors of The Kapil Sharma Show, had an episode featuring his maternal uncle as a celebrity guest.
There have been reports of some tension between the two in the last few years, apart from the displeasure of Govinda’s wife Sunita on the comments of Krishna’s wife Kashmeera Shah dancing for money for some people in 2018.
When Mami refused to share the stage:
Sunita had alleged that Kashmirira was referring to Govinda in dancing and making money and the senior couple decided to distance themselves with Krishna-Kashmiri. Last year, when Govinda, Sunita and her daughter Tina Ahuja came on Kapil’s show, Krishna was clearly missing, as her aunt Sunita did not want to share the stage with him. However, this time Krishna himself has decided.
Talking about this, the comedian-actor said, ‘I came to know about Chi Chi Mama’s arrival on the show about 10 days ago. Since Sunita Mami was not with them, the team thought that there would be no problem in me performing. However, that incident has left a bad impression on me. Last year, she did not want me to perform in front of her, but this time I had a choice of judgment. ‘
The actor added, “I had a strong relationship with my maternal uncle, and the animosity has affected me badly. When a relationship between two people is tense, it is difficult to do comedy. Also, Mama might find my jokes bad. The set should have a good atmosphere for good comedy.”
Krishna says that he tried to make contact with Govinda on one or two occasions during the lockdown. He says, “They did not even come to see my twins in the hospital, not even when one of them was fighting for his life. I called them but got no response. How long can I try to resolve our issues based on a misunderstanding! Of course, it hurts, but if he doesn’t want to see me, I don’t want to meet him either.”
