It may seem like a serious turn of even that might have happened when Archana Puran Singh received a letter from Navjot Singh Sidhu who has asked the former to leave his seat on the show. But what may seem as a serious thing was a fun banter that was played by ace comedian Kapil Sharma.
On Saturday’s episode of The Kapil Sharma Show that was graced by Badhaai ho actors Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta, Kapil read out a letter to the show’s current guest Archana Puran Singh on Sidhu’s behalf asking her to leave the show as soon as possible.
The comedian picked a point to discuss how lucky Archana is to receive love letters from her husband in the age of social media. He further insisted to read out a letter for her.
When everyone was convinced including Archana that he would read her husband’s letter, the comedian began reading the love letter that said “Dear Archana, I love you a lot and I pray for your well-being. I hope you become so healthy that you won’t fit in a chair. For you, I can leave my home, my work, and my city if you could please vacant my seat. Yours lovingly, Navjot Singh Sidhu (loosely translated from Hindi).” And soon everyone broke into laughter.
In response to which, Archana got up from her seat and told Kapil “Ok! fine. Obliging to Sidhu’s request, I have now vacated my seat” while taking a few steps towards the audience. But soon she added, “Only for a second” and again got back into her seat saying that she won’t leave anytime soon.
Kapil remained silent for long and had opened up about Sidhu’s return to the show as the co-host and said that he is expected to return after the end of the election.
Indeed it was a fun banter between them. But the audience still awaits Navjot Singh Sidhu and his infamous Shayari’s on the show.
