The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 4:After receiving a great reception and doing well the first weekend, The Raja Saab had a sharper-than-expected decline at the domestic box office on its first Monday. Early trade estimates indicate a considerable drop in earnings as audience reviews mixed over the first weekend.
The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 4
According to the initial data collected from Sacnilk and industry experts, the Prabhas-starrer made only a minor addition on Monday as compared to its first three days, which results in the total of domestic box office of approximately ₹108 crore-plus after four days of release. First estimates hint about ₹0.07 crore being added on Monday (Day 4), which reflects how steep the weekday dip has been.

When The Raja Saab premiered on January 9, the film was greeted by a wave of excitement from fans and industry observers alike. The horror-comedy gained an impressive ₹53–54 crore on its opening Friday all over India, with the paid previews adding significantly to the numbers.

Nevertheless, the weekend trend told a more complicated story. On Day 2 (Saturday), there was a drastic fall in collections to the mid-20s crore range, and on Day 3 (Sunday), the film’s income in India was about ₹19–20 crore. This series of events brought The Raja Saab to a little over ₹108 crore in the domestic market by Sunday evening.
Mixed Audience Response
Experts in the trade sector pin down the movie’s lessened Monday turnout to a mixture of factors: critics being split, the public speaking about it moderately and not many people viewing it during the week which is a pattern already observed for movies that get strong openings but soon waning interest coming out of the weekend. Reports of early occupancies indicated that weekdays were not demanding times for watching the film, particularly not outside the Telugu area of influence where the movie’s pull had been the strongest.

On the one hand, the critics have expressed their opinion that the combination of genres and the screenplay of The Raja Saab were different and that they saw weaknesses in the story despite the strong cast. This probably influenced the film’s run during the week to be less than what the distributors and exhibitors expected.

Box Office in Perspective
The Raja Saab though it was prominent during the weekend still had to deal with the strong competition from other movies like Dhurandhar that were still being shown. In fact, Dhurandhar continued to be a box office draw even in its 6th week, especially with regard to Hindi-speaking audience. Reports said that the Hindi collections of Dhurandhar on the same Monday was even more than the earnings of The Raja Saab.
What the Numbers Suggest for the Week Ahead?
The sharp decline on Day 4 indicates a tough first week at the office for The Raja Saab. For a pan-Indian project with such huge pre-release expectations, it will be very important for the film to sustain its performance during the weekdays and the early signals show that the film will have to take holiday boosts (like the coming Makar Sankranti period) in order to cover the difference between its present earnings and the initial box office aspirations.
