Former CEO of Only Much Louder Vijay Nair arrested in Delhi liquor policy scam

Vijay Nair, an influential media entrepreneur who is known for his innovative start-up: Only Much Louder (OML), has recently made the case for him being stalked on the internet, public. In a detailed report by Huffington post, the nuances of the case has been laid bare.

Nair’s case of being stalked on the internet began in the year 2015 and took a rather serious turn when he started to receive abusive tweets and emails. The stalker would even mark his colleagues and friends.

He would get abusive messages on various social media platforms. Each time Nair would report an anonymous account for abuse on Twitter, Twitter would suspend it. But surprisingly, within minutes, a new anonymous handle would pop up. He would receive emails, threats and even explicit messages from an account/handle named “Ketaki”. In some emails to Nair, the stalker would threaten harm to his family members, describing their individual locations accurately.

According to the report, the stalker was one of his acquaintance who alleged that she was forced to do so. Notably, the police confiscated the alleged’s personal laptop and two mobile phones for forensic examination. Crucial evidence from these electronic items can decide the fate of the investigation. Police officers say the forensic examination could take years because India’s forensic laboratories are understaffed and overburdened with cases.

Even after Nair lodged a FIR in this regard, he continued to receive e-mails and messages. However, around February 2016, all the messages stopped, since then, Nair hasn’t received any more texts or emails so far.

As yet, no one has been arrested or charged in this case.
