The Kerala State Government has resolved not to alter the total amount granted for the Thiruvonam bumper jackpot. As a consequence, this year’s first reward amount will remain at Rs 25 crore.
However, twenty winners will receive Rs 1 crore each as the second reward, as opposed to the previous award of Rs 5 crore to a single recipient.
On Monday, Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal unveiled the Thiruvonam bumper sticker for the year.
The price per ticket will remain at Rs 500, and the drawing will take place on September 20. This year there will be 5,34,670 victors, compared to 3,97,911 winners in 2017.
The third-place winners (20 winners) will each receive Rs 50 lakh, the fourth-place winners (10 winners) will receive Rs 5 lakh, and the fifth-place winners (10 winners) will receive Rs 2 lakh.
