Cricket and West Indies legend Vivian Richards is fondly remembered by all as one of the most explosive batsmen to ever exist. Richards who has been retired for almost 30 years still holds the same respect and status among the cricket fraternity. He has never been shy to share his opinion on any topic, and on February 13 again he did the unthinkable when he wished Tibet, Happy Independence Day, which is still under China’s occupation.

Vivian Richards tweeted on Saturday, “Happy Independence Day, Tibet. There is a lot to go on.’

He has tagged FreedomForTibet with this post. About 15,600 users had retweeted Richards’ tweet within seven hours and about 57,500 people also liked it.

Vivian Richards’ tweet was also responded to by Gajendra Chauhan, a TV artist and Ex head of FTTI. “Tibet wants independence,” he wrote.
